If he had a better Spring, this wouldn't have happened.
But when Lou Piniella said everybody had to earn their spot, and then Wade Miller had the Spring he had well, what's Lou supposed to do?
Those guys in management gotta keep their word, or they're nothing.
All that said, I sure hope Prior finds his stuff and comes back like the guy I poured all that trust into.
Like Kerry Wood, he's a bonus this year.
With a bonus like the old Prior, I'd be lighting Cohibas with hundred dollar bi...well...matches probably.
But Cohibas are really expensive.
