By the time this game was over, I was feeling flu-ish too.
But last year, my very first live experience with Cub-Spring-Training-Action went like so:
I turned on the tv and Jerry Hairston gets hit in the head.
Can't be good, right?
Turns out the whole season felt like a fastball in my temple.
Today, I knew the game was coming on, I just spaced.
Wyatt came into where I was painting and said, "Dad, the game's been on for an hour!"
Oh.
I ran downstairs and the second the screen came on, there was D. Lee hitting a homer.
The gigantic swing, the arms extended.
Sight for sore eyes.
Shoulda turned it off right after that.
But it was cool going over the new line-up with Wyatt.
It's important that the family knows these things.
